Our permanent GPS (Global Positioning System) reference station was installed in
April 2001, and remains in continuous operation. We are a member of the
National Geodetic Survey Cooperative CORS (Continuously Operating Reference
Station) network.
The FEI1 receiver system is capable of collecting static data while performing Real Time Kinematic (RTK) simultaneously through cellular data network. This system can broadcast RTK correction data that can be used approximately 20 to 30 miles away from the reference station at RTK accuracies. The cellular data network extends the RTK operational range to the digital service provider's area of the entire San Antonio area and beyond.
Our advanced CORS system operates with a Radome choke ring antenna designed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, capable of providing 3mm/0.02ft+/-0.5ppm accuracy when post-processing static data with the proprietary software.
To improve your capacity to post-process static data immediately, we are offering daily RINEX (Receiver Independent Exchange ) formatted data every hour on the hour at no cost. Click on Rinex to download it from our web site on the internet.
